CarPark Collective is the design of a global tiny house community that creates a movement towards the repurposing of abandoned or existing car parking buildings as a hub for these citizens. The community itself is centred around a fire pit philosophy as a way of bringing people together and sharing a connection. This can be done on site but also via the social media app which facilitates bookings and outlines the philosophies and guidelines the community lives by.
The Car Park Collective offers temporary facilities. The inhabitants drive their tiny homes and stay at the hub for up to one year at any one location, before moving on to the next in exchange for their services. The collective is entirely based around gifting whether that be through physical means or through service to the community therefore a decommodification is essential to our philosophy.
