The Meguzzle is a large scale event installation that celebrates the SPCA’s Five Freedoms in particular the voices of dogs that are considered more dangerous.
The design is proposed for the Wellington Civic Centre offering an educational platform for the wider community to gain awareness around a co-citizenship between human and the non-human through this political gesture.
The structure is intended to be used predominantly by animals hence the varying scale and constructed in a way that the noise from within is amplified and reverberated giving the dogs a “megaphone” as opposed to a “muzzle” that they would ordinarily have.
